Design, synthesis, and characterization of various organic and/or polymers for their potential use in the inhibition of mild steel corrosion in oil and gas industries. Development of smart polymeric materials for the removal of heavy metals and organic contaminants from aqueous solutions. Design and development of novel polymeric membrane for water treatment. Development of stimuli-responsive polymers for target-based applications. Design new polyelectrolytes, polyelectrolyte complexes (LBL, coacervate, etc.), and hydrogel system with smart properties for applications in microencapsulation and drug delivery.
